Beautiful Blue Upcycled Cigar Box

This is a hard to find cigar box from My Father Cigars in a beautiful shade of blue with red and gold accents. A departure from the usual brown wood cigar boxes. I sanded and waxed the wood, added a new vintage style clasp and contemporary ball feet. As always when I find a box with colorful labels, I preserve them as they are part of the uniqueness of the boxes.

I used hand cut stained glass pieces in complimentary shades along with vitreous tiles, glass mosaic pieces and miniature square beads to create color bands that are enlivened by contrasting accents. Ideal for a wedding or bridal shower, open house, birthday gift, etc. Dimensions are 15x6in. and can hang from either end.

Multi color mosaic wall hanging, featuring a black and white border design in glazed and porcelain ceramic tiles.
Bands of hand cut unglazed matte tiles and glazed glass tiles alternate in a design enclosed in a black and white border.

I love alternating contrasting colors and materials in order to add depth to my designs. For this piece I added a black and white border to both contain and emphasis the contrasting bands of color.

This piece is framed in black metal, with charcoal grout used to make the colors stand out

Dimensions: 9×12 in. Hanging harware attached for immediate display.

Beautifully decorated transformed cigar box, given new life and meaning. I used paper and other embellishments from P.S. I Love You, by Graphics 45, decorative metal vintage look metal feet and a sweet little white knob for easy opening. Great gift for that special someone- jewelry collector, spouse, beloved relative, engagement gift, anniversary, birthday or just because. I added a charming little crytstal knob and vintage brass colored feet to complete the theme. Box dimensions: 10x8x2 in. I recommend avoiding placement in damp areas for the sake of the papers.

Mirror is securely mounted on 9mm mdf, which is sealed with 3 coats of acrylic sealer. Mirror edges are finished in red and sealed.
